Serenity Now

My husband and I took a weekend trip to my favorite wilderness on earth: Carson Pass, outside Tahoe.

Going from sea level to 9,000 feet is tough. On the Sunday, we hiked 12 miles from Carson Pass to Fourth of July Lake, a brutal elevation climb of 1,000 feet. Took all day, but we were proud to have finally done it, after discussing it for 10+ years. The salmon and white wine we had for dinner was well-deserved.

There’s nothing like a little wild time to disconnect from all the bad news and stress of the world - I hope you can get out in nature for a little serenity as well.
