what are shampoo bars?

Shampoo bars are concentrated shampoo — shampoo without all the added water. Our bars last about 80 washes (that’s two bottles of commercial shampoo). They create zero-waste — use the bars until they’re gone. Good for you, good for the planet!

How do I use a shampoo or conditioner bar?

Rub the shampoo bar directly onto your head until it builds up a rich lather. Use the conditioner bars like you do regular conditioner — rub along the ends of your hair and then rinse for a soft, silky tresses.

How do I use a dish soap bar?

Just rub bar across your sponge or brush to create a sudsy lather and get to work! Our organic coconut oil bars are super bubbly and fight grease like the best of ‘em.

How can I support your mission?

We’ve found “word of mouth” to be the best advertisement. Please review our products and tag us on social media. Be sure to tag us if you do! We’d be truly grateful.

How long does it take to ship orders?

We are a family business. Sustainabar is a labor of love - a commitment we turn to after school and work. We are not Amazon Prime. We try to ship orders as quickly as possible, but sometimes it may take a week or so. Thanks for understanding.

What’s the difference between essential oils and natural fragrance oils?

Essential oils are derived from single plants, aka, lavender e.o. is derived from the lavender plant. Natural fragrances combine various plant-based ingredients to make new scents, such coconut, which is unavailable as an e.o. In some cases, the scent of fragrance oil lasts longer than essential oil in cold process soap.
